This retrospective on fifty years of documentary photography in France contains a unique testimony.
Jacques Windenberger has never stopped investigating his craft, with all its changes and improvements. After starting out as editor of the daily paper in his home town, he subsequently became a news photographer specialising in social issues. A member of the Argos collective, he has published numerous books such as ‘Photography, means of expression and instrument of democracy’ or ‘Is this how people live? A documentary chronicle, 1969-2002‘(2005). He donated all of his work to the departmental archives of the Bouches-du-Rhone, and it can be accessed on the BPI site.
Exhibition presented in partnership with Picto Méditerranée.
